报告题目：Advanced Modulationin Optical Transmission

报告简介：Thispresentation introduces the recent advanced optical modulation technologies forfuture optical transmission system. In order to increase the spectralefficiency and flexibility of the system, we have proposed some noveltechnologies by using multi-dimensional andvariable bit-rate modulation as wellas optical DSP methods. We build a Semi-field trial for1Tb/s single-channeloptical transmission system in the lab.The Nyquist filter technology is used toimprove the spectral efficiency while the coding modulation FEC technology isadopted to improve the transmission performance.On-line video service issuccessfully transmitted over the system.

个人简介：刘博，教授，南京信息工程大学光电研究院院长。北京市青年拔尖人才，首届光学工程学科全国优秀博士学位论文提名获得者。主持了国家自然科学基金2 项，863重大课题（北邮负责人）1 项，863主题课题首席助理1项，参与了863 重大课题1 项、科技部国际合作项目1 项，主要从事光通信方面的研究工作。近年来发表了50 余篇国际学术期刊和会议论文，已公开国家发明专利20余项，以第一和第四完成人获得教育部科学研究优秀成果奖自然科学类二等奖两项。
