报告摘要：Connected vehicleshave been envisioned to provide enabling technologies to improve road safety,provide in-vehicle entertainment, enhance transportation efficiency, andimprove driving experience. In the recent years, as passengers and driversexpect more and more cloud and location based vehicular services and automotivetelematics, there is a phenomenal increase in the number of connected vehicles.In this talk, the concept of connected vehicles and their potential applicationswill be introduced. Then, the key technical challenges and solutions in thisfiled will be highlighted, and finally, the pinpoint future research directionstowards connected vehicles will be presented.
报告人简介：Haibo Zhou receivedthe Ph.D. degree in Information and Communication Engineering from ShanghaiJiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, in 2014. Since 2014, He serves aPost-Doctoral Research Fellow and Senior Research Associate with the BroadbandCommunications Research (BBCR) Group, University of Waterloo, respectively. Hehas published 4 monographs and 2 book chapters, over 50 Journal/conferencepapers, including IEEE JSAC, TITS, TWC, TVT and mainstream conferences such asIEEE Globecom, ICC, VTC. He participated Canada NSERC Strategic Project, China973, 863, and NSFC Key Project. He was the recipient of the WCSP'15 Best PaperAward，INFOCOM'11 Best Poster of Student Activities, 2012 Ministry ofEducation CSC scholarship. He has been serving as many designated professionalreviewers of high quality journals, such as IEEE JSAC, TMC, TWC, TITS, TVT, TBand TPC member for many IEEE conferences, like INFOCOM, ICC, Globecom and VTC.He also serves as the Member of Editorial Board in the Journal ofCommunications and Information Networks (JCIN), Guest Editors of IEEECommunications Magazine, Hindawi International Journal of Distributed SensorNetworks (IJDSN), and IET Communications. His main research field is thevehicular ad hoc and sensor networks.
